In this podcast, we were joined by Andy Howes, Director & Co-Founder of AfroSports, a sports hub connecting sports with fans in Africa & The Diaspora across all viewing platforms. With over 20 years experience in the Pan-African sports space, Andy touched on engaging local sports; they part AfroSports played in distributing the AFCON 2021 Media Rights across Africa, working with AUB. We also spoke on the relationships between Free-to-air TV vs PayTV, weighing out the pro's and cons of both and their uniqueness to the African market. AfroSports have also launched a 24/7 TV channel in Nigeria, are about to launch in the Caribbean and have also developed an app ('Optimeyes Africa') which is an excellent fan engagement platform.
